I can clearly see savings!

I first heard about Zenni from Clark Howard, a podcaster who is a consumer advocate. I have worn glasses for around four years and have only recently gotten contacts. All the glasses I have worn previously have come from brick-and-mortar stores, with many retailing from $600 to $1,000.The dirty little secret about the industry is that over 80% of the glasses market is owned by a company named EssilorLuxottica. If you don't have insurance, tough luck—you get to pay their exorbitant prices. I bought a pair of Gucci rectangular glasses that retailed for $1,000 and paid around $300 after insurance, and they were made in China. After getting contacts, I didn’t want to pay those prices again, especially since I use my vision benefits for contacts. I needed a backup, so I chose Zenni. I got some basic rectangular glasses similar to my Gucci ones for around $30. From my perspective, they are just as good as the Gucci ones. The one downside is that this company might not be as reliable for quality if you wear a very strong prescription. But if you want an affordable pair of glasses and don’t want to pay through the nose, Zenni is the way to go.
